Lol! No, it's locked up in the extra safe. Do have firearms in both vehicles, carry weapon and assorted locations in the house. They are loaded of course.  ;)

If one clip doesn't do the job I don't need to be there. I'll run!

CCI 9mm ammo was to good of a deal to pass on. 1850 rounds purchased. 2100 total of 9mm. Going to buy the other half a 9mm carry for Christmas so plenty of ammo to shoot.

Just go to the gun store and purchase. Are Texas laws strict?

Go to this site.

http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/

Best prices, free ship and no tax. Pay just a 25.00 FFL fee to your local store for transfer. I use their prices as a barging chip but of course they have to have the gun in stock also. Setup an account then a notification when in stock.

Had a heck of a sale last weekend. Yeah, some calipers and models are very hard to find. Even good ammo is hard to get.

You can also go here and get local pricing and availability.

On the Ammo, I have a fair amount (or, at least I thought I did, til Toytuff told of his "Collection" of ammo. I don't know exactly how much, I inherited most of it. All I have added, is a Ruger 380 and 100 rounds. I know there is quite a bit of 22, 38, 9mm and some other, but don't remember what else. Got some 12 gauge shells and some 410 too. Thing is, my Dad gave his 38 to my one of my uncles and my brother got the 22 rifle, and shotguns, in the beginning of that fiasco between my brother & his wife trying to get my Dad in the nursing home and taking everything for himself. Only reason I got what was in my Dad's vault, was because my brother couldn't get it open and my Dad couldn't either. And they had the combination! But, fortunately, I managed to get it done, with an assist from a fellow SOHC4 member here and I also had been given the combination by my Dad. I will have to do an actual inventory of it all, to see just exactly what I do have.

Besides a few guns, I also inherited reloading equipment, but I know absolutely nothing, about doing that. I want to sit down and do some reading up on reloading myself. Most of the ammo, for the 1911 45 Automatic, has been reloaded by my Dad. May check you tube too and see if they have videos on it as well. I can assure you that I Will be up on it, before trying to do any reloading myself.  ;)

All done with ammo. For now.  ;) 45, 32, 25, 380 and special carry ammo. Spare clips.

Plenty of 115 gr. with 500 rounds of 124 gr. 9mm. 2100 rounds.

Few 22 caliper with 38 caliper.

A lot of 762/39 mm. Around 1200 or so.  Lower ammo can full of 12 gauge shotgun shells, top can full of 30-30.

Best guess is around 9600 rounds or so. All locked in the spare safe.

No smoking.  ;D

For a little while.  ;D

Another sale going on so I might increase the 45 ammo. Narrowed down to two 45's, SW and Kimber. Both out of stock at present. The Kimber I wanted sold out quick. Never think on a gun you want, just buy it.

How often do you shoot, tt?

I used to shoot a lot, we'd go out to my buddies ranch and get drunk and shoot! Fun times.

Been a long time. Work got in the way then life it's self gets in the way. That's why I had guns I forgot about (ak47) and ammo scattered about.

All my time of late is taking care of the other half but I want to go out with the neighbor and start again. Soon. Slowly getting her better so once a week or so at least.

Hard to believe but the Ducati hasn't been ridden since late June. Been an awful year for us.

Reminds me, I need to order up some targets.

Couple of NICE 45s, at that. This ammo thing has got me wondering exactly how much I have around here. I have found that my Dad had several places he had stashed containers (not real big ones) of pieces of lead, found the molds also. He had some containers of powder too. I need to check on how the powder holds up, if not used for awhile, before doing reloading later on. I am going to have to dedicate an area to reloading, do some serious reading up on the subject (got lots of books and such here), get things organized, see what I have on hand and what I will need. I found, at least 1 of the standard size military ammo boxes that was completely full of reloaded 45 ammo, more 45 brass and with all of the lead I found, when I get myself educated enough, I am going to see about doing some reloading, making use of the equipment here, to do so.  ;)   Of course, I will do some serious research, through the manuals here, whatever videos I can find on youtube (or wherever) and from any advice from the forum, from anyone who might also do their own reloading. In other words, I am not going to take a change of blowing up my garage and half the house.  ;)

LOL, your situation sounds like mine. My Dad had a 38 Special and quite a bit of ammo to go with it. And the 38 was supposed to go to me, but, for some unknown reason, my Dad gave the 38, to one of my Uncles (My Mom's Oldest Brother) and kept the ammo. And I found out about it, about 2 months later. So, here I am with all of that 38 ammo and nothing to use it in,  ::)  yet......  ;) Not looking right away though, that will have to wait for a bit later on. Sure am glad it wasn't the 45 he gave him.  :)

I have liked some of the old Detonics... The Combat Masters I think were a compact 45 that had good performance.  They go for stupid money these days.
Had a S&W before a job loss and I parted with it to help finance the move I had to make.

There is a lot, about guns and the different companies I don't know about, but if they go for big bucks now days, must have been something else. As for having to sell things, to help with the finances, in any situation, I can sure identify with that.
