Stock piston weight CB 750 ?
« on: December 19, 2016, 04:05:07 PM »
If anyone has a stock piston handy , can you get the weight in grams please.

I just got my TRW standard bore forged pistons, and would like to compare weight.
I am getting 42.5 grams for the pin, and 153.5 grams for the bare piston....Thanks.
If pistons has rings on it, leave them on, I can figure out ring weight..

Frank, a stock bore 61mm OEM piston = 161 grams, no pin clips or rings.

Thanks Brent, good to know. A bit of a surprise they are lighter. They are 10.5:1 compression.
I am thinking or running them with a 315 cam and the Webers...be an econo build.

My 0.25mm oversize Honda genuine pistons are between 161.5 and 162.5 g on my wife's kitchen scale.

Thanks to both of you.
Hondaman, did you ever run the TRW forged stock size pistons back in the day ?
