Pondering a GL1100

I'm a devout CL looker and today I found these for free with the keys.



The bike they were on was in the backyard and I can probably get it cheap.  It's been sitting for 15 years, but it does run and ride although the front brakes are dead and the engine sounds pretty good no noises......maybe.......

The GL is a very robust bike, parts are easy to get and a few can be picked up at the auto parts store (timing belts and radiator hoses).

If you've never ridden one you will be amazed at how smooth the engine is. The 'Wing became a premier touring bike for a reason, they just eat up miles.

        Alright!! Price was so Right & w/ Keys? Whoa!  8)  So, are ya  gonna talk to him, about the Wing? Inquiring Minds want to know? Okay, I am wondering and surely there are others besides me?  ;)

That's absolutely awesome! Great find. Was it in the "need gone" section?

 Mine had the same trunk rack, it was cracked, cable tied, welded, wired, screwed etc. I'm giving it a hard look and may just go with the bags and a rear rack. The PO must have carried a lot of weight in the back.

Naw, only get a Goldwing if you gotta have a bike that is fast, handles well, and rarely breaks for 200,000 miles.
That's not what we're about here, is it??  8) 8) 8)

Find one to insert in that pile of stuff (or not, Necked Wings are pretty cool) and ride it till the wheels fall off.

 Sorry, the trunk is OK but the mounts were cracked. The vetter saddle bags have good mounts but the plastic housings are cracked. My brother has a set with good backs and no keys. I'm hoping to swap the doors for my blue ones and put them back on.
