I never thought I'd see the day an "art event" would be selling "100 tickets" for $60.
On facebook, for an alex grey sacred mirrors display.  I asked the innocent question what all the tickets were for.  Got dodgy non answers and insulting redirects arguing the semantics of my question.

So I called the bastards out.  Like, "what, are these LSD tickets?"  Reported the event to fb for selling drugs.

This farm boy has some street smarts. 

Sucks though, cause I actually like the artwork of Alex Grey.

Its a big thing in Texas, because the weed sucks there.  Most of the seattle kids prefer mdma for their party drug.  Which is usually cut with meth or heroin (but i think they call the opiod variety a 'molly'). But #$%* if I know, i'm a cow and like grass.

Unless you find someone who very, very recently consumed lsd will it show on a piss test.  Rumor has it that lsd will remain in the dna of the central spinal nervous system forever though.

The event organizer stalked me down on facebook to assure me they were not selling blotter acid.

Which doesn't surprise me, plausible deniability n sshtuff.

Acid is making a comeback. Now all kinds of people do micro doses. They claim it just enhances your creative and cognitive abilities.

I met a man who was overdosed by a hateful (ex)girlfriend.  He said it was a bad batch and attacked his nervous system, leaving him with permanent tremors.

I was 18 and had just played an open mic when the guy approached me after my set.  Somehow my songs compelled him to share that.

In my awkward teenage brain i was like "okay, don't OD on lsd, duly noted."

Last time I dropped a tab was just after I got married (to the first dragon  ). I was around 21 at the time, which would have made it about 1982.

Anyway, me and the missus both did the deed and sat in the living room, Pink Floyd on Volume 10, waiting for it all to happen - and happen it did. After my jaw started to go numb, I don't remember much about it, other than sitting there and being scared sh1tless because the furniture was moving in towards me and lining up to attack! I took refuge in the bathroom, sat on the toilet and lost control of my bowels. I must have been in there for a good six hours. No idea what the missus got up to, and when we eventually managed to find each other again neither did she. In the middle of the living room were the remains of the top tier of our wedding cake, which the outlaws had stipulated should only be brought out to celebrate the birth of their first grandchild - oops!

Ah well fcuk 'em, they never did approve of me anyway...

Oh make no mistake, I can get a great stash from the washington rec stores.

But I feel bad for my fam in Texas.  Prohibition has forced the cannabis market into the hands of black market mexican cartels.  Who spend a great deal of effort trying to get their schwaggy grass across the rio grande.

Problem with a lot of pot today is it is far stronger than  most of it was in the 70-80s.  The old stuff did not have any addictive properties like the stuff today.  Granted the only addiction used to be the desire to do it again, but not a dependency like today's stuff.  (From what one program discussing the drug trade and its changes over the years.
The growing legalization will put a damper on the stuff being smuggled as the stuff being grown here often been of better quality and potency.

Addiction because potentcy?
The heavy smokers I've met tend to have overall self control issues.  Wether they smoke the old glory or the new shizz.  Fark, some act like its a competition!
I have some resentment towards those kind of stoners.  The "it's a lifestyle" and "medical dose is a gram an hour", "my morning routine isn't complete until I've smoked." "A pound a day is for personal use" Those types.  Those potheads have made it incredibly difficult for me personally. 
I've yet to have a "professional" not look at me sideways when I say "quarter teaspoon before bed".  Like what fool?  You expect me to waste an eighth just so I can sleep?  Fortunately, legalization has vindicated me some.  Extractors have come to realize that 250mg of high strength is an ideal amount.

What would be really nice is if our bodies didn't take so long to digest the stuff.  Might as well have four stomachs.

Thai sticks were tiny buds tied to a stick, soaked in opium; you didn't make your own Bomber, unless you had access to opium poppies.
While we're on the subject, the Coast Guard intercepted a shipment of 'stick off the central coast of CA back in the '70's, but not before the smugglers had jettisoned several bails into the ocean. When some 'stick hit the street some months later, it was assumed to be from those jettisoned bails. When the case finally went to court, it turned out the evidence was missing from the San Luis Obispo county sheriff's evidence locker, and the case was dismissed. Several cops lost their jobs due to that...

You could always dip them in paregoric (camphorated opium tincture) but the camphor made the smoke tough.

The washington legal market must have stolen the name 'thai stick' then.  They certainly did not contain opium.  Good thing too, even a little bit of opium (percocet) left me seriously dehydrated.  The term "sh!t a brick" sums that experience up.
