Where did these carbs come from, and what do I do with them???
« on: February 05, 2017, 01:24:16 PM »
Hiya guys. I have this set of Keihin carbs from, I think, a CB750. Any chance someone can help me identify that for sure, or instruct me on how to, etc?
Also, I'm not sure exactly what to do with them. As you can see, it's in pieces. I don't want to throw them out, but I'm not really a carb guy and already have enough going on not to take on another project, plus I don't own a 750. I'd love to find someone who can take these off my hands. Any suggestions would be super helpful. Thanks folks  ;D

Cb 750 probably 73-76.. Looks fairly complete, except someone cut the throttle linkage shaft..
Looks like the throttle idle adjust would have been on the right, that makes it 75 or 76
Look at the carbs closely.. Should be numbers stamped on them, or the bracket that holds them.

You can see that you have 064A...1975 CB750 F.

They'll sell here for parts or rebuild.

The stamping is where the red arrow is.

btw jamesw, how can you tell they're from an F model? Did they not use the same carbs on both the F and the K models?

I just referenced a chart that was posted by another member qside.

http://www.motorcycleproject.com/text/specs.html

I'm no carb expert....in this link Hondaman lists a few differences between the carbs from various years.

I did a bit of digging and your 064A are definitively for a 75 cb750 F, as another member Jerry with that particular bike, and all original, has the 064A carbs.

Carbs always sell. There are F owners here, that would be in for an extra set or parts. Beyond them, Harisuluv rebuilds carbs and might be interested in buying them.

Someone sure stretched that throttle return spring out, maybe it was a 'custom' touch. I would just throw all the parts in a little box and stash them away, doesn't take up that much room, and if you ever get a 750 you will have some spares  ;)
