Tried using the search feature but nothing came up, so does anyone know a good site to get coils for a 1972 honda cb 500?

Be careful.....I replaced my coils and used Four into One.  When I initially purchased and received the coils, they would not work, i.e., didn't fit the existing stock mounting brackets.  I initially ordered the first set on-line without talking to a service rep.  After calling and talking with them, I received the correct coils (they are not Honda but good repops)  that fit and work great ......so, would highly suggest you pull up Four into One, get their number and talk with a service rep first.  Emphasize you have a CB500 (4 cylinders) and intend to use the existing mounting brackets (if so).  I had no problem with them taking  back the wrong parts and have ordered other parts from them with good results.  Good luck!

Not to hijack the thread, but anyone know a good place to get quality carb rebuild kits for the same bike (1972 CB500 Four)?

I just bought one and carb rebuilding will be my first order of business next weekend.  I'm fairly new to wrenching so if you have any other advice I'd be glad to hear it!

The previously mentioned sites have carb kits, but re-use the stock Keihin brass. You can use the fuel valves from the kits, but keep your stock jets, needles and emulsion tubes.
If for some reason you need jets, look into Sirius Consolidated or JetsRUs. New emulsion tubes/needles are only available as New Old Stock and you have to call around or search eBay (good luck, and break out the wallet on those...rare and $$$). Main and pilot jets are still available new for small money.
If yours are in good shape, just order the O-rings from 4into1.com.

Used OK? I probably have a couple I could send you. You'd want to clean them up and lap them in. If you want an all new set, check CycleX.
