CA95 Vin #
« on: April 15, 2017, 04:58:56 AM »
I have purchased my 1st Baby Dream.  1965 CA95.  Is the Vin # stamped into the frame or is it on a tag attached to the frame?

Also, where can I find information like, colors by year etc.

 Now that's not very helpful....

Try the Honda Twins site, too. They're very educated on the two cylinder bikes.

Yep, Frame number is sometimes beneath the left side tool and airfilter cover...at least on the '65 model.
What color and year did you pick up or have?
The blue and white seem to be less seen. I have a rough blue '65...need to sell it as I don't have the time to restore it with all the parts I have acquired for it and need the money quicker than I would be able to rebuild it/restore it.  Not that they go for significant money. They are nice around town bike or leisurely cruise about the countryside.

It is repainted purple but the original shocks are red.  So I am guessing red.  I was hoping to match the serial # to the color.  Is the serial # stamped into the frame or a tag?

Number for the motor is stamped into the motor case and the frame also is stamped into the frame.
Guess it would be like driving Barney around in Purple. ;)
Don't think the color matters to the restoration and no, the color cannot be sussed out from the frame # VIN code.
