1982 Honda custom 250cc shift

i am having trouble getting my sneaker to go under the shift .. is there a way to adjust this ?

You should be able to remove the shift lever and reinstall it at a slightly higher angle to leave more room for your toe.

You might also be able to source a heel-toe shift pedal, they're pretty common.........
