Hi from Nova Scotia

Hi all,

Sorry I've taken so long to get around to posting this. Like a few others, I joined the SOHC group a few years ago, went without an internet connection for awhile and when i got it back I had forgotten my ID... blah blah blah

Anyway, I really am glad to be back on the team - as you may (or not) have noticed I've been quite active on the boards since I came back (hopefully contributing something thats useful to someone!!!!!!!)

Anyway, I'm 35 years old and have been into motorcycles since 1976. My father is a lifelong mechanic by profession and had a shop in the basement of our house. I remember the first time he let me "help" him work on a bike was this CB (pretty sure a 350) he had there that year. It was a basket case that was given to him as payment for a job he did. I gophered wrenches, sockets, etc and had a BALL doing it. When he was all done, he threw the kickstarter, took me for a ride....... well, I was hooked!

I've always done my own work on every machine I've ever owned. I raced NT650's for awhile in the 80's & early 90's, but i've always gotten weak-kneed (some would say soft-headed) for those SOHC Honda's........ with that kickstart - just like that first ride in '76!

Right now in my garage I have a 78 750K that Im in the process of restoring. Mechanically, I'm all done and this winter I hope to get 'er painted and the seat recovered. After that, I plan on tackling the '750 F that I have in pieces now. Considering a cafe project after seeing some sweet rides on the site.

Thanks again all, great to be back aboard.
