Hmm, you know, I may have only used acetone, but I can't fully remember since it was a couple years ago. But regardless, the Caswell liner has been 100% ever since!

Is the Caswell method simpler than the POR15 method? And/or quicker?

Not really. POR15 does give you a 'system' with the alkaline cleaner, etch, and liner. The Caswell kit is just the epoxy and you are left to your devices to clean and prep. POR15 looks like shiny metal, Caswell is clear, you see through to your tank metal. I slightly prefer the epoxy, but I think both are excellent assuming proper prep.

Never used por15, but caswell was dead simple. Cleaned out the tank, mixed the caswell stuff together and poured it in. It was middle of winter so the shop was cold, so I used a heat gun to keep the tank and epoxy warm. I rotated the tank many times for an even coverage. It's been about two years and the tank is 100%
