Got my daughter a bike for Christmas
« on: December 26, 2006, 05:33:52 AM »
Yesterday was my 12 year old daughters big day. We got her a '00 XR100R for Christmas. She's shown a LOT of interest in bikes for a while now. She was floored when she saw it. Man I was proud of her. She's spent a lot of time on 4 wheelers and her cousin's dirt bikes, but never one with a manual clutch. I went over the bike with her, and she hasn't killed the motor even once! We were talking last night, and I told her that when she is old enough for her permit she can take a riders safety course, and the 350f will be hers to ride to go on rides with me. This is gonna be a lot of fun, should be a great way to spend time with her doing something we both enjoy. ;D

It's very cool that she picked up the clutch so quickly, and what an excellent way to spend time with your daughter.

That's awesome!  I really hope when my wife and I have kids that they are interested in bikes when they get to that age.  Although I don't know how she's going to feel about that! ;D

No kids myself but that brings back memories..

First bike for me was a XL100 Honda.

Sent my 16 yr old niece to the MSF course.

Very cool sir!
