Bingo!!

2. Brown/Blue buzzer lead (buzzer is long gone) was plugged into the empty socket for another Brown /Blue wire from the tail light fuse.
(That's why they didn't work after new signal were installed and also why they would still light even after the flasher was removed.)

Since the Brown/Blue buzzer lead is connected to the Orange or Blue turn signal leads when the switch is activated, that is why the signals only came on (and didn't flash) when the switch was avtivated.

Good thing I made notes of the connections in the bucket before I un did all of them......bad thing that I didn't use the notes to re-connect everything!!!

Hey, Brewski.
Just wanted to say thanks for your post. Was able to fix my blinker issue by following your advise regarding brown/blue buzzer lead. I had to go to the box of wires under the headlamp to find it but soon as I unplugged it all was well. ('76 CB750F)
Would never have figured that out on my own. Also had blown fuse issue like many others here that was due to green lead being plugged into my 2 prong flasher.

Advance Auto also has some Electronic Flashers as well.  I also bought one of them an EP34, but it is 3 wire.  On my 750, I had a loose Green (ground) wire in the location of the flasher (just behind the battery tray).  Used the 2 Original wires, White (= to lamps), Black ( = to 12v power) and then connected the Green ( = Ground) to the Negative terminal on the electronic flasher.

Works like a charm.

My flasher were also not flashing, and like Charlie, I had a loose wire just hanging out in the birds nest in the left side panel. Took Charlie's advice and got the EP34 flasher, which was $20 CDN at Lordco, and voila, my indicators are now flashing. Good thing because my thumb was getting so sore from turning my signal on/off/on/off/on/off when I had to turn.

Thanks Charlie!!

I recently replaced my oem stock very old signal relay with a $12 3 prong unit from auto zone, it doesn't fit like the stock one but signals now work great just need a smart way to fasten the unit to frame.
My toolbox consists mainly of hammers.

I was going through my wiring box and found a square flasher with a good rubber mount. (correct for my K0) Alas, it won't flash. I tried tuning it up by wiring it to a headlight bulb but no joy. I did see them on ebay.
