Greetings from Arizona
« on: December 29, 2006, 04:03:01 PM »
Howdy all,

I just picked up a '76 CB550K. It is in pretty decent shape with the exception of badly faded paint, a chip in the right side-cover, and 30 year old tires. I had a '73 500 with a 550 engine as my first bike "way back" in 1994, and wished I had held on to it. I guess I'll keep this new one as a rider, and clean / fix stuff as I find the time. Hope to see some sohc4 riders on the hiways & byways...

Welcome, deimzig.  Your 550 looks to be in pretty good shape.  There's a good list of vendors in the FAQ, and there's lots of posts about repainting if you're headed that way.

Welcome aboard!! I love the 550's. I previously owned a 74 model in Flake Sunrise Orange and I've bought a model exactly like yours from a local Honda shop that's been in storage for 7 years.
