Hey KC in the same vein did you ever see the web site "Short Bursts" if not google it is about the Wag's and Ag's some of the stuff is priceless and yeah we had some ex Wag's in our squadron when I first got to it, Special, special, people, this the airforce I was in and I remember, not the pallid, bloodless, politically correct organization of today I wonder how the corporate students of this era will do if there is another war thrown.

The good news is many millenials are not terribly interested in REAL LIFE big expensive lethal and destructive wars.  There are video games for that.

I am not trying for big wars and the people I knew wouldn't have either what I'm saying is they took these people stuffed them in blue and threw them into a maelstrom of death and destruction and the side effect of this were men and women that had a more realistic vision of what was real and what was not. Not many "Pollyanna's" in that group I wish that there were more from that group in politics today.

Hello Bill,
It seems that many Wags were remustered ground crew, is that right?

Yep KC some wound up as armourers, some fitters, riggers, etc, there were people in my squadron that had been as high as Squadron Leaders and were busted down to L.A.C. to stay in, in my maintenance crew our corporal was a Flight Lieutenant at war's end, of course not all of them had been WAG's there were pilots, navs although in the RCAF it didn't make much of difference who you flew with, A/C captain could have been anything from a Sargeant to a Wing Commander  he of course was still the man in charge and what he said was gospel, there was no rank distinction when a crew was formed unlike the US.

The bad news is not all overseas millennials are interested in video games.  They are being trained for the real thing.

Well for us WW2 was a little different to get the flavour of it you'd have to know a little bit about the BCATP they trained over 100 and some thousand aircrew and it after the war cranked up so the ones that are training now wouldn't be the same as the fishermen, loggers, farmers, lawyers, accountants, teachers, etc of then. Another thing that Canada should be proud of.
