Reproduction Tanks
« on: February 09, 2018, 01:20:49 PM »
Hello All,

I'm doing a low budget cafe build on a 1977 cb750k and am without a tank. I was looking around on eBay and there's all these offers for new cheap universal repo tanks like the one linked at the bottom or in the picture. My question is: more or less sketchy than buying homemade tequila from a one legged stranger on the street? I think they're made by a company by the name of Tarazon, but even that's unclear. I want like a cafe style tank but can't spend the $7 million for a nice one. Any advice would make my day.

would say you should post it in the project section, not here.

nevertheless, a 9 liter tank will look absurdly small on a 750,

it already looks tiny on the SR500 shown, just imagine it on top of a wide sohc4....

Or get one of the tanks from India.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Get what you pay for in tank quality. From what I hear you are in for a piece of art, good enough to display or put on your bike and enjoy for many years.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.
