Bench sync 750 657b carbs
« on: March 04, 2018, 12:29:20 PM »
Hi guys

Im trying to bench sync my 750 k carbs, type 657b. These carbs have one stop idle screw on carb 2. My question is on the drill method or the flashlight method. Where should i put the paper clip for instance or the flash light: air side or engine side? Until now i was putting the flash light on engine side and was trying to see some light on air intake side. However, if i put the paper clip on the engine side afterwards, paper clip cannot get. Should i combine both  methods or stick to only one ?  Whats the best method? Here is a picture of my syncing using flash light on both sides as you can see, slides almost seat engine side and are a bit open on intake side

thank you for your reply, i've seen this link before. I believe though that this opening is still a bit high and can lead to high idle rpm. What do you think ?

i used a paper clip.  worked fine.  i've read some folks using an 1/8" bit.
