What’s up from MS!
« on: April 05, 2018, 11:16:51 AM »
What’s up everyone my name is Josh. I just bought a 77 cb550F that’s completely disassembled and I’m going to reurn her to her former glory! This also will be my first motorcycle (first time owning not riding) but what better piece of mind than to build her myself! I’m 23 chill 6’6” and pretty mechanically inclined, really just excited to get started with the biggest project I’ve ever taken on. I’m sure I’ll find a welth of information and I will DEFINITELY have questions lol hope to hear from y’all soon.

Welcome Josh...the 550F is a fine bike.

I suggest starting a thread in the Project Shop area so we can follow along and help.
I have one in the garage so will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Welcome from NE MN,

550 is a versatile bike.  They even like gravel roads.

Awesome I most definitely will! How is the 550 for the highway? I’m thinking of taking a ride home back to Atlanta once she’s all fixed up.

Did a Saddle Sore 1000 on mine last year.  Route I took was mainly two lane highway but I did get on stretch of express way with an 75mph limit.  Bike got 80mph GPS verified with power to spare.
