If I remember it was making 42-43bhp. The twins are making 48-49 now.

Timesheets from yesterday's & today's 500cc practice which ended with Alan in top spot & Dominic second. Note the number of Hondas now in the top 10.
I have attached some photos of the bikes details too, just so they can be seen & in case anyone wants to know any bits & bobs.

Apparently it is acceptable to ride a Classic Honda like this if you are in your 20s.....

And Alan & Dom in tandem at last night's practice session.

@HondaFreak: Thanks for pics!

And thanks for 350/4 information. I understand that this would be a lot of work to bring the Four to the Power of the Twins, and the Four is heavier than the Twin......

I also have a 350 Twin and a 350 Four Racer, but only lite tuned only to have Fun. In next month i will put them on a Dyno.

andy, i think he meant that it's a lot of work to make the 350-4 make 6 hp LESS than the twins..... :)

I see you are in Austria, do you do the Alpe Adria championship? Sometimes they have a round with our championship in the Adria circuit

@turboguzzi: No i wasn't racing Alpe Adria since now, only just for fun with friends.

Yes and it would be more lot of work to make the Four making 48bhp, so i understand this.

I only know one 350/4 that makes 46bhp, but the engine only holds 2 or 3 races....

 46 is good out of the 350/4, but the longevity would be an issue for the Classic TT. 151 miles of near wide open throttle racing. The 350 twin has done a 104.1mph average speed lap...And runs reliably at even that pace. However the engine has been retuned so it is making the same bhp 1000rpm lower than it used to. That helps.

The two Davies 500/4 bikes finished 1st & 2nd today in the 500cc race. Dominic won his first Billown race by 0.25s from Alan, who missed a gear coming out, in the lead, of the last corner. It was a brilliant race to watch, with the pair of them tucked in behind one another on each lap. Crafty Old Fox vs. The Exuberance of Youth. I will see if I can find any good photos of them, together. Just shy of lap & race record pace, as it is quite windy here on the IoM today.

The power that can be developed by the twin is much easier to achieve and has been a favorite of many racers in amateur racing/club racing and the support is greater from what I understand. The motor has less rotational mass being a twin .
Isn't this the case?

The 500 and 550 is a very nicely balanced bike out of the box.
