Sorry for the yearlong delay but finally decided to open up the clutch since it would not free up. The plates were seriously stuck together ( like cemented ! ) and took some "finesse" to get them separated. As can be seen in the pics, it's no wonder ! On another note, the friction discs all measure within spec, averaging 3.5 mm but I am ordering a new EBC Clutch Plate Set, so I don't have to hopefully go back in there any time soon.

That's what I thinking too. It just may be  the reason the previous owner stopped riding it.
