400F shifting woes... need some help
« on: June 17, 2018, 05:03:56 PM »
I got my 400 back together and fired it up yesterday and had hopes to take it for a spin for fathers day. Fast forward to today... went over the bike and shifted through the gears with the rear tire up. Turned it off and clicked it back down into neutral. Started it up again and its acting like its  in gear and when I try to shift into 1st I can only get a 1/2 click on the drum and the gears lock up in either direction. I'm really hoping not to have pull the motor again, but it's starting to look that way. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, now it's stuck in neutral.

Linkage under the clutch may be out of whack

I broke it down to the drum and something seems stuck. I'm going to open up again.
