Finally got to work on it again.
Harbor freight box came in. So i cleaned up the rear of the frame and cut of the factory shocks to make some struts.
Also pulled the carbs  to use on the green 550 for now.

Been really busy. Got the struts tossed on today and made a gasket for the carb bowls on the carbs for the green 550. Hopefully will have time to weld and smooth the 500 this weekend.

Ordered wheel bearing for a XT600 front wheel. Going to use it and a dual sport tire for the front. I used this wheel before on a chopper with a 17mm front axle.
Pricing 4 over tubes from Franks as well.

Tews19 hooked me up with some complete 8 over forks off a 750 chopper he was parting out.
Cant wait to have time to get them mounted up. Have the bike at my gfs dads for some welding right now. Its the only Honda in a garage full of HDs. Lol.

Moved the bike over to my GFs dads garage to be able to weld easier. Got a load of used lumber to build a addition to my building to be able to weld at home.

Well sold the 58 sporty.
Life happened. My car got totaled by a uninsured driver. I got the shaft in that deal.... The next day my GFs car blew up on my way home from work....
On a postive note got a 23 for the CB.

Real simple man. Adding rake and a big wheel. Will my trail be right? No chance. Possibly some front end flop at low speeds?!? More than likely. Will it be really freaking cool? Dam Skippy!

I had a KZ woth to much rake before and loved it. Also kept people from asking to take rides. This 500 is going to get a foot clutch as well. A live one. I cant affors the rocker set up atm.

A poorly handling bike ridden on public roads that puts your life, and those of other motorists at risk is “really freaking cool”?   ???Sure it is. You sound like the guy who plays Russian Roulette with a semi auto. These types seldom ever see retirement. Gods own built-in organ donor pool. Lovely.

Enjoy your ride.  ::)

Had one for a daily for over a year never any issues. Alot of it comes down to riding conservatively and knowing your bike.
Yes I understand things happen. Cars pull out in front of you and such.  Its just as bad on a stock bike. I've been down on a stocker never a chopper so far.

Been too cold to do anything outside lately.
I ordered a 16x3 laced to a 550 hub. A finned stator cover.
Also about to get a King and Queen seat from The Bentons.
So just gathering stuff at the moment. Questionable and likely to bc criticized 😎😂 come as the cold breaks.
