CB750 'Project X' Update
« on: June 05, 2005, 09:03:31 PM »
Ok, my little CB750 'Project X' goes back to the Greenspun days, and I'm sure some of you folks have grown weary regarding my Tracy Body posts.  That being said, I became aware that this '70's body didn't "quite fit."  For months I vacillated between whether to sell it as an unknown entity (I could not find what this thing was molded for) or bust out the turkey carving knife and make it fit.

Although these Tracy Racing Body's are rare, I could not determine the original application, thus I busted out the turkey carving knife.  I needed to grind out the gas tank tunnel so it would ride on the main center spine of the frame. Since the side panels dropped straight drown, leaving no room for the oil tank or electric panel, I chopped them and glassed in a pair of aftermarket covers  It now looks like the damn thing will fit..
