I pulled the points cover off my 74k and there is a toggle switch on the points plate, anyone know what it is for?
The bike does not currently run, engine is locked up from sitting.

It's the engine lock.  Some folks have their bikes sit inoperable for years just because they switch off the engine lock.   ;D
