Hot Bike of the 60's

      This 63' Yamaha Ascot Scrambler was quite the bike back then.    Check it out.

Thanks for that, Bill.  The sort of bike that got me excited as a kid.  'course, I'm a bit partial to Yamahas...

           Hey,those suckers were pretty hot for their time. I can't remember exactly what the street job of that time was called. Something like YDS3 (maybe). Anyway, the first one I saw was the same colors as this Ascot and someone had done some very impressive pin striping on it and besides looking good, that sucker would fly down the road and didn't sound half bad for a 2 stroke either. I just like to add a "Blast From The Past" now and then. Personally, I don't think we should forget any of them. After all, they are a part of the motorcycling history.
