I need favour to use a member’s address for getting few parts shipped (bought from fellow member) closer to Niagara. I can then drive down to pick.
Thanks

jamesw has a shipping address he uses here in the Niagara area that we ship his parts to, contact him and see if he would be agreeable to let you use it, too! He comes down and picks up the parts at his leisure lol.

Out west here, most border towns have shipping places you can send to.
The one I use charges 4.00 per parcel 1 month to pick up..

Silly question time. How come it's such an issue to get stuff from The USA to Canada ?
I am used to being bent over a bench and given some lovin by the postal charges, UPS in particular, , but I'm at the bottom of the world, you guys are next door.

Shipping gas tank tank to border 30 to 40 bux. To canada at least 70.
Small parcels, minimum 14.50 or more to Canada. To Us often 6.99 or often free shipping..
And it gets there in 3 days.
Mail to Canada  7 days to 3 weeks .  You never know which.
Transit time. Parcels see less rough handling in 3 days than 13..
Choice of shippers, UPS to Canada can often result in broker surcharge can be 15 .00 or more

 Need I say more.
It s not always convenient to go  the 2 hrs each way for me once a month, but I rather enjoy it. But when you get say 4 or 5 parcels or on some days a wheel and a front end, you can be saving 70 bucks or more.
It's a nice ride too, will add pics..

Here is an example
Us buyer gas tank 100  plus 35 shipping...135 total .
Same tank, Canadian buyer, shipped to Canada.
100 plus 65 shipping  is 165 Us , so around  206 or more with exchange.
Then 25 dollars tax to get it in the country, i think the Post Office charges 5 but for the transaction.
Grand total..235.00 or more.. and our wages are close to the upper half of the USA.

It is a nice ride down through there, Frank! Is that the Frasier River there, and do you go down through Cache Creek and Hell's Gate when you travel south? That's Really Nice Country...
