Is My Oil Pressure Switch Dying?

Does not light up now when switch is turned on.  Only after engine has heated up riding for about 15 minutes.  At end of long ride switch light will come on for about 30 minutes afterward..  Bel-Ray 20/50 with about 2500 miles.  Outside temperature range from 40 to 70 degrees.  I am wondering if the oil is too thick for winter time--though yesterday 70 degrees here in NC.  Dirty oil in switch?

Was thinking to change oil and filter and see if that helps.  Close to needing a change anyway.

Would appreciate any ideas here.

2500 is over the top for oil change, should be 1500
