Cr750 valve cover mod?
« on: January 15, 2019, 12:26:31 pm »
I am in the process of building a classic race bike on a cb750.
Want to do the valve cover mod whit studs to support the cam holders. Read a thread about it, how you locate the right spot to drill the cover but cant remember the trick  and dont find the tread anymore. Any info on best way to do it.
Sorry for the bad English.

Best way to do it yourself (credit to 754 here) is to use a mill. Bolt a head down as well as the cam towers. Once you line up with the casting dimples on the cam towers, add the cam cover and bolt down. Drill that hole to your desired size, then move on. Here is the cover Im slowly working on.

All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Medyo Bastos sold me a very well modified one he had under his bed. 😎
He might have another, if you're not wanting to forego the mod.
