I have been fighting a chain tension issue for some time. tight spot in chain that could not be compensated for during adjustment, and overly
noisey when bike was moving. front sprocket wobble a little more than I prefer, with a brand new chain. in/out movement of drive shaft a little
excessive, but acceptable. Chain noise driving me nuts, decided to scrutinize every component of sprocket/chain. I found by installing a newer and less beat up front sprocket plate made a BIG difference in reducing chain noise. Replacement plate is now installed with curve side TOWARD engine
as well. did a quicky chain adjustment check, and it seems to not need any adjustment at this time. Anyone ever see anything like this before?
the sprocket plate has 1 curved side and 1 flat edge, like a steel clutch plate is cut. The damn thing seems fixed now (
