Denver Rusted Nuts
« on: April 04, 2005, 10:22:15 PM »
Howdy, all!
The Denver Rusted Nuts will be having its first official gathering this Thursday the 7th.  This group is dedicated to owners of any make of motorcycle that's at least 20 years old (and running).  We will be meeting on the first Thursday of every month, and plan on doing some group rides as soon as the weather starts cooperating.

If you're interested, sign up on the yahoo! group at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/denverrustednuts/ and introduce yourself.  Detailed info on the gathering is on the message board, or you can just meet us there at the PS Lounge at 1515 Madison (Colfax and Madison) at around 6pm Thursday.  Hope to see some of you there!   Gordon

Hey Heffay!
Yeah, it's tomorrow.  I plan on being there pretty late, so if you can make it, don't worry about the time.  The weather's supposed to be great, so it looks like we picked a good day.  If you can't make it, we'll be there next month, too.  And hopefully, we'll get a group ride together before then.  If you need more details, go to http://www.rustednuts.com/  .  Hope to see you there!

just thought i'd let the people know how last evening went at the ps lounge.  great little bar and restaraunt on one of the main drags thru denver.  good food and great hospitality... thanks ps lounge!  anyway, i rode down from boulder on the 350 (round trip only about 60 miles)  lots of really great guys and girls, motorcycles and scooters.  lets see if i can remember some bikes.  2- 750fours, my 350four, a kz 1000, gs 1000L, several beemers- an rs, gs, lt and maybe a few other beemers, suzuki sv, suzuki gs 500, 3 vespas, even an excelsior henderson... im sure i missed a few, and i may have the model numbers a bit off but, all said and done we had 30+ bikes.  not bad for the first turnout of the year.  I personnally had a good time eatin, drinkin, socializin and most of all ridin.  i think i even found lotsa good parts for my 400 project.  thanks denver rusted nuts!

Gee Whiz- I missed it!  The FIRST ANNUAL Denver Rusted Nuts meeting and I MISSED IT!!
RATS!!!

I just found this website last night-and you guys were all having beers and eating great food on a wonderful evening!

I have a 550 honda 4 1974 with 15, 800 miles on it.  And it RUNS!!

Anyway, I will keep watching this and maybe go on a ride with everyone.

Linda

PS - does anyone know where I can get 5 amp fuses and also 7.5 amp fuses?  I've got a bit of an electrical issue with my bike and need to pick up a few of each.  TIA

What's up, Heffay?  Linda, sorry you found out about it too late, but we'll be there next month too, and hopefully even bigger!  We should be getting a riide together soon.  There's also going to be an "Old Bike" ride on May 7th that's open to any bike 25 years or older.  Details on that will be posted on the Rusted Nuts yahoo group when we know them.

Here's a picture from the 1st Thursday rally to show you a little of what you missed.   ;)

So sorry for the mix up.

Can I post a j-peg photo from a disk?  without going through photobucket or webshots?

Sorry all, I'm trying to pull that first link and it says "can't report your own message to moderator, that doesn't make sense"

Well it DOES make sense when I put wrong link into post!

Again, Sorry for the mess up, I'll watch it closer next time.

Linda, you can remove any of your own posts by clicking the delete button in the top right corner of the post.  You can add a picture directly from your computer by clicking the "Additional Options" link underneath where you compose your message.  The size will automatically be adjusted for the message board with a link to the full-size image directly below the picture.  And welcome to the Rusted Nuts!

Linda, to put a picture under your name (avatar) :

Go to your profile and click "Forum Profile information" on the left side of the screen.  Then you can either upload a picture from your computer, or link to a picture from your photobucket account.
