DOHC in a SOHC?
« on: May 18, 2019, 10:28:24 AM »
I know the cb500/550/650 will all bolt in each others cradles. Will a DOHC 550/650 bolt in the same cradle.
Likewise are the DOHC 750 anf SOHC able to be bolted in eachothers cradle?
Missed 2 good buys on a SOHC 650 motor for my chop. See alot of DOHC stuff around too. Kinda wondered as they(DOHC 550 650) seemed like a good extra motor to have around.

750 no way others dont know for certain but doubt the dohc will fit in a sohc standard frame but if its an aftermarket chop frame maybe with handmade plates and spacers

I have a few spare SOHC CB650 engines in my garage. I'll let you have one from an '81, with carbs, for the price I paid for the bike it is on, "come and get it out of my garage". I don't know if you want to drive all the way to Chambersburg, PA for it though.
