78 cb 750 oil cooler
« on: June 12, 2019, 06:08:31 PM »
Hi I am new to the forum I need to bounce an idea off you  I picked up a 1978 CB 750  as a basket case when I finsh repairing it I will be using it in Albuquerque NM what I think is that I can run an oil cooler by taking the  oil tank return line  lead it to the cooler than back to the tank . Will this work?

That is exactly what Honda did with the CR750, so why not?

Sure, but you can also use an adapter plate that fits under the oil filter housing, which is how the cooler for my 550F was fitted. They are readily available on Ebay. Randakks also sells one that converts to a spin on oil filter at the same time.

This will bolt right up, uses the existing filter housing and bolt and will install in about 30 minutes with no fab.
