new LED head light

put LED headlight in 2 weeks ago . sat night it turned off high beam also . i checked it out No power to Main fuse . didnt check anything yet. should i check key switch or ?  i road 10 miles home it started right up tonight , good power.

was half asleep . no power to headlight plug and main fuse . its charging 14. v I checked key switch , regulator    im going to take gas tank off tomorrow to check all wires.      can i put a jumper wire to fuse to see if i get power to head light plug

If you are not seeing power to the main fuse then start Trac Ng the power from battery to the ignition switch and fuse box.
It would be helpful if you were a little more descriptive. Following your logic has some leaps.
What is the voltage measurement of the red wire and black wire to ground at key switch. Are you certain the main fuse is good. Pulling it and testing it or checking voltage on both sides of the fuse.
Is voltage reaching the headlamp plug?
Have you reached the wiring from fuse box to the headlamp?
Which fuse on your bike controls the headlamp? What is your year and model bike? Posting this on your signature as part of your signature automatically helps others when you have questions.

found problem . fuse box label wrong . it was the starter button . riding down the shore N.J. about 100 miles each way

starter button wasn't coming out all the way to make contack to turn light on. i pulled it out then light came on. that's after tank was off. i needed to clean it out anyway.

down and back 200 miles . had 2x harleys brake down had to fix would leave when he said was getting it towed.

 Those switches are failure prone at this age. You can buy a new right control or find the plastic cage that the switch fits in. Someone was 3D printing them.  ebay maybe?
