If you come way of a Chevy Cavalier, I can show you how to mount 2 -15inch competition subs in the rear seat back/truck partition. Big old Alpine amps for each sub with an 8d battery (in place of caps) in trunk. Complete with welder 2/0 cable running to battery up front. The rear deck will have to be sealed from trunk because the woofers and mid range speakers will be turned inside out when the subs hit. The back window will eventually come loose and will need reinstalled. Shooters hearing protection will be required.
Nephew's car, my old stuff....Old alpine amps still working but are in box on shelf. Subs’ suspensions failed long ago.... Nephew still brings up “Remember when we............”.
I never went anywhere near that far, but back in high school (early 90s) I had a bandpass box with two 10s in my '86 Celica hatchback. When I cranked it up it not only rattled the entire car but also any car sitting nearby. Nowadays I just get by with a single 8" sub.
Your a lot younger than I am. When I was in high school some still had 8 tracks. I had an Alpine KE something with pre-amp outs to upgrade later to amps. We did your band pass box with Alpine dual 10’s in my youngest daughter’s high school 2002 Firebird. Two individual mono Alpine V power m450 amps powered each sub’s dual 4ohm voice coils wired parallel for 2 0hms. The factory Firebird Monsoon head unit was modified for pre amp outs on rear fader. I still have box, speakers, and amps all in great condition in her bedroom closet.
I still have all my early 90’s Pioneer Elite Audio components for Home Theatre. A pair of the holy grails Pioneer Elite M91 amps.... The amps ran the home theatre’s 15’” subs we installed in my nephews car later.
Today, I just listen to the K1500 factory Bose set up..... I haven’t really grown up, just have grand children now. We’re growing up with them now.....I'm 2.5 years old now. I have two grandsons that are 2 and almost 2, and a granddaughter that's 3... We have the Polar Express and my old Tyco Freight Train for under the tree. I have an old Lionel at my moms, somewhere...
Merry Christmas....
