Last September I paid $475 for this 81 CB650.
11,000 miles. Original owner, kept in an attached garage, and not ridden since 1993.

Work needed:
Rusted out hole in bottom of left muffler, replaced left exhaust.
Tar from old gas left in tank cleaned out.
Petcock replaced.
Carburetors cleaned and rebuilt.
Battery replaced.
New air and oil filter.
New fork seals.
Yet to do. Tires and brakes. (Have good tread, brakes work, but will be replacing both due to age.)

Way too much at $1000 for its current condition especially when it looks like its got some rust and the torn seat. I paid $1250 for my cb650c 1980 and it was in much better condition and was running. No rust and all the original parts and everything were there. The paint was in pretty good shape just needed a polish. I would say like $400 for that but I noticed all the Hondas run for a little bit more in Southern California.

Update..forgot to say the title has been lost, and no longer in system... second owner did not go through with title change .. last ran 2006...30,000 miles.. so here in cali  have to do the CHP inspection plus DMV fees  $$... after reading the above posts it not worth taking a chance restoring as it could be more $ than the value of a running 650
thanks guys
