If this type of operation, sponsored by our U.S. government could happen then, what’s to prevent it today? The collateral damage of lost human lives didn’t seem to matter to those behind that operation.
I’m just saying some weird stuff has happened over the years that make me think you can’t trust everything that you hear or read.

Wow, that seems so far fetched Mike, that could never happen, surely? Well, apart from several "terrorist" attacks in recent history of course........... ;D

My daughter found the 1,000 mg vitamin C at Walgreens, everywhere has been sold out.  2 for one deal too.

Still having problems finding sugar in decent quantities for my home brewed ginger beer, seems ridiculous, but anyway, went to the home brew store and bought 10 pounds of dextrose (corn sugar?) and then stole another 2 pounds from our larder.

Have enough ginger for another 30 litres, so thought about buying more dextrose on line, but of course, the price has doubled in the past week, thank you Amazon, you crooks. ;D

Look for ascorbic acid (vitamin C). I guess you can find it in bigger packages. Easier to eat 1/2 teaspoon several times/day followed by a little water. I guess beer work fine too, vitamin B1.

Does anyone know if the whole "1000 mg of Vitamin C" thing has any real benefit? I've been watching the news, plus the daily Australian Defence Force CV updates, and it hasn't been mentioned once?

What has been mentioned many times is "Don't pay any attention to the "cures" or "preventative measures" espoused on social media, because it's all horse sh1t". I have to take vitamin supplements every day for the rest of my life anyway, I suppose I should check how many mg of Vitamin C is in each tablet, just to be sure........... ;D

See the 2 links I attached in my first posts where vitamin C experiences are written.

I eat around 4-5 grams of Ascorbic acid/ day.

Multivitamin with mineral tablets every 2nd day.(Great Earth TNT + Vitamin D capsules 50mcgr).
This to keep the health and virus immunity at max.

Stay away from people and work from home.
I have lots of TP too!! :D

With this I have done what I can. There will be no hospitals nor care, they will be full!! :( :(

I read the worst case scenario with the large doses of vitamin c is kidney stones so drink lots of water. I'll continue to use it and take my chances. I did research it on google and researchers in china see the same benefit as with a common cold,  not as severe and goes away sooner, possibly causing less lung damage.

Not sure if I’ve mentioned this on the forum so forgive me if it’s a duplication.

I have two small dogs and late last year bought a box of 900 poop bags for about $20 on Amazon.

I keep a roll with me in case I have to go into a building (condo/apartment) and use one over the hand to open all doors.  Also works for elevator buttons and other touch points and pumping gas.

Safe as they are large enough to cover the hand and wrist and can be easily flipped inside out and thrown away.

Cost only 2 to 3 cents per bag.

I had no problems in the 90's and 15 years ago with high doses of vitamin C during a few years. It helped me quit smoking twice.  It can be a personal thing. No problems for me.

I have also read about kindney stones. But today I'll  prefer to not get infected.
If letting those small invaders in they will multiply and attack the lungs if giving them the chance.

I believe in building up my body's strenght against infections and viruses with help of eating correct and additional vitamins.

The Chinese experiences of vitamin C building up the strenght to not catch COVID-19 fits my experience of it.

It's not expensive, no commercial for a specific expensive product someone want to sell and make money.
Ascorbic acid the cheapest alternative.

Those with kidney stone risk might eat what they can. I read that 1 gram/day will not cause problems for stone risk people. Better than nothing.

Vitamin D can not be taken in too high doses since it's a fat solved vitamin that accumulate in the body as A and E also do.

B and C will be flushed out naturally.

This is like get our old bikes to work as good as possible. Bikes that are young compared to us ;)

It never actually happened; Kennedy didn't approve the plan. ;)

You’re right, it did not, but it “could have” if the end result is what Kennedy thought t be a grand idea.

Weapon industry is an important business, why reduce that?
The bad guys, maffia, cartels will have weapons anyway from military worldwide.
Kalashnikov is not made in USA and to be found everywhere.

The communists and global warming maniacs are a greater threat to handle than normal working people with guns.

Maybe these want less resistance when talk (bs) is not bought by the self thinking people? Or a healthy government that see the risks with certain groups?

In tougher times some will start problems. If a country is closed down the criminals must find other criminal businesses. Trafficking drugs might go down?

no misinformation here scottly  , just take four pound of vitamin c . boil all your mail in vinegar and wear a plastic bag on your head and you will be fine !
alas the virus is here and its not going anywhere soon . the measures in place are not supposed to stop us getting it  they are to stop us all getting it at the same time . at some point we are all going to have to face it , unless we never want to go out again .

Hmmnnn, well if  that's the case, I'm happy to stay home Simon. 2/3 of the folks with it here brought it into the country with them, and the other 1/3 got it from them, or from someone who came into contact with them. The post office is still delivering parcels from China and the US, so I doubt seriously that the flu can attach itself to boxes of bike parts, but I am washing and hand sanitising more than I ever have in my life.

So far we've been pretty lucky here, with close to the lowest amount of victims (per head of population) in the world, and unlike Britain, it's not the "Runaway train" you guys are experiencing.

With luck and sensible precautions (and I agree the whole "Vitamin C" theory is horse sh1t) we won't all get it. I hope. ;D

I tossed a freshly received package under a UV light yesterday, lol.
My brother wanted to bring a dead battery over for me to charge, I think he just wanted a visit but we've been to the hospital for physical therapy following a knee surgery, I said you don't know if we have it and we don't know if you have it. Sorry not this week. It's one of those new chargers that require voltage to start, I told him to jump it to a good battery first.

My brother also used his old style trickle charger to get his 70 Dart's dead battery going, then charged it with his newfangled "smart" charger.
He came by to use my compressed air to remove flywheels and pulleys from a pair of VW engines. He described this awesome engine he found in his shop couldn't remember where he got it. 88mm cylinders, high comp pistons but spacers under the jugs (gas was awful back then) oil pump with the filter adapter and a cooler. cc'd and ported heads etc. It's the one from my old beetle that I gave him when I sold it.

And that reminds me to go  check my K2's battery, once again my "Smart" charger wasn't doing sh1t, so I hooked up the old Arlec, and it appeared to be putting a charge back into the Motobatt. I've still got the "dead" orange Ebay el-cheapo that the smart charger wouldn't look at, I must see if I can breathe new life into it with my "dumb" charger. ;D

With my C'Tek chargers, if the battary is really low it wont start charging.
If I wire a decent battery to the real low one it will kick it off and start charging.

That's a good idea Ken, I might try that on a couple of newish batteries that aren't playing the game at the moment. ;D
