I found an easy way to mount stops for the center stand not involving the muffler brackets. I used 5/16 18 bolts longer than stock 2" first on the bolt  is a 5/16 ss washer, a 5/15 ss lock washer, a thick 1/2 " flat washer and a 3/8" ss nut this goes into the top of the center stand clamp holes with a ss nyloc to clamp it . The 5/16" lock washer squeges into the 1 /2" flat washer to center it the 3 /8" nut spaces  the 1 /2" washer ( the stop) to a position that the stand stops parallel to the ground. Works pretty slick all off the shelf. Hope this is useful to someone. Oh I did both sides.

Thanks I'm not sure if it will need a rubber washer under the big washer though.
