Free Yamaha - Must pick up
« on: February 11, 2007, 07:22:38 AM »
;)

Saw this picture in a motorcycle magazine yesterday (maybe Classic Bike - not sure) in Barnes and Noble.  Did a search for it on google and found it.  Thought I would post it here for others for laughs.  Supposedly this is in Thailand.

It can happen to a Honda too...
The tree had grown in between the crashbar and engine and was flat as a pancake at that point.

In all the times of picking up bikes I would have to say I have never had to bring a saw  ;D
Contact me for affordable rotor drilling services at $55 each rotor. Same day service on CB750/CB500/CB550 rotors. Next day on everything else.

This reminds me of the story I read (can't remember where, but probably in the classic motorcycle press somewhere) about a fellow in England who buried a bike in his back garden (couldn't get rid of it??). Many many years later the new owner of the house is putting in a fence, or somesuch, and discovers the bike, which is dug up, restored, and put back on the road!

I wonder if these two are worth the effort....think of the stories you could tell!

A better story would be if you could get it to run while still stuck in the tree!   :D

I guess it was less effort than hauling it off to the garbage dump. And the word 'recycle' didn't figure into anybodies vocabulary either.

Off on a tangent, but along the same lines, my Dad told me the story about how they disposed of unwanted WW2 Fleet Air Arm airframes (like the F4U Corsairs he flew), in the old days....... they were pushed to the end of the flight deck of the carrier and dumped into the sea. Ah me!

Did the FAA also call them Corsairs? A very fast ship anyways.
