Wanted - Gold Coast - Anything Running
« on: June 01, 2020, 12:07:08 am »
I'm looking for a bike for my wife, or a new bike for me so the wife can have the 550.

Not too fused what it is, as long as it's running (not looking for a major project at the moment). I'm in Gold Coast but happy to travel within 100kms to look at whatever you've got.

Show me what you've got!

'75 CB550F - Flake Sunrise Orange - Always broken

'78 CB550K4 - Mostly Rust

'92 NSR250SP MC21 - Rothmans
'92 VFR400R NC30 - Red/White/Blue
'04 VTR1000 SP2 - Black/Red/Silver

I have a few CB750s for sale but I am in Sydney. All bikes I have need some work.

I can either sell on the road ready or as is.

Bit of a late update, but I settled on a really tidy CB360T for the wife, she’s stoked.

... and I may have bought a 750 for myself

Now I need to decide on the fate of the 550F.

Keep it, sell it, or fiddle with it? It’s far too nice to cut up, but I could bring it into the future with some additional upgrades.

I’ve already rebuilt the front & rear brakes, front master cylinder, forks, and carburettors (including vapour blasting), and fitted a set of Ikon shocks. I could continue down that road and fit electronic ignition etc.

Thoughts anyone?

What do you have? I’m itching to build or restore something.

I have a few things, I have a K7 a F2 and a K2 police which I am working on getting the few missing police bits to sell. The police bike is probably my best pick for a resto. I bought two police K2s so I will keep one and sell one.
