search / sponsor support
« on: May 11, 2020, 03:16:47 PM »
OK, I admit having too much time on my hands and spending too much time online. That said I have a theory, I searched for tires and then got sick of seeing ads for tires on every web page I go to. The theory is, if I search for something more pleasing to the eye, then that's what I will see ads for whenever I'm surfing the internet.
On facebook I saw ads for lingerie from JC Penny, I know that's odd, but I clicked on it hoping to avoid looking at tires. I'm still getting the mag wheel ads, I lready bought them last week so I'm hoping for something better. Thinking of searching for motorcycle paintings or classic car pictures.
Ideas? Thoughts? Maybe I need professional help?  Today I've been drinking while smelling the Italian beef in the crock pot so maybe I just need to gas up the K0 and bust outa this isolation.
I said isolation cause I can't spell quarrintine quariantine quarrantine , see? Quarintine,  k-war-in-teen dangit.

Stop using Chrome and find yourself a browser that doesn't track you habits. Set Do Not Track and turn your advertising customization off.

So no lingerie showing up yet? That's what happens when you try to beat it at it's own game! I know what you mean though. You try to price one item out and they try to ram it down your throat for days.

I better hope the dandelions make a comeback. There  are only a few, I'll be down the street at night with a flashlight picking the corner yard. L0L. And sorry, the beef is already gone.
Crock pot, beef roast, garlic, hidden valley ranch dressing packet, onion, onion soup mix packet, 1/4 cup beef broth, a few hours later, done deal.

I'm seeing better lingerie ads on facebook now, still get amazon or the tie dye shorts here.

I just saw BB racing at the top of the page, at least give a look to these sponsors. They are buying space here supporting this site. I believe they get a count of hits and searches. Some drag bike stuff,  cool.

In your browser settings, there is an option to "delete/clear cookies." Those are the little bits of information that your browser saves from your search history for targeted ad placements.
You can also search the web using "incognito" on chrome or similar things in other browsers... Most people use those browsers for their porn but I mean if you really hate tire ads you do you lol. You won't see search history and won't be automatically logged into your favourite sites like that though.
Some browsers also have a setting to not accept cookies. You can select that too.
If if you knew all of this and were just trying to be funny, I'm sorry I didn't get the joke lol

No worries, it's not for me. I like to look at the female forms in the ads a little more than tires. OK, a lot more.
Thanks for the tech info too, it was half joking but a little truth.  I do think the ads here help the site and a good response count might be worth something.
