Valve seat angles?
« on: June 26, 2020, 04:06:18 PM »
I'm refreshing the head on my 400F and wanted to grind/cut the seats since the width is out of spec. I am having trouble finding cutters in the specific Honda angles so my question is what angles are people cutting?

Here are the specs that I have: 37.5, 45, 63.5

Hondas are supposed to be GROUND not CUT and as i remember it it was only the bigger honda dealers that bought the expensive kit for doing it
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

It would be nice to have a setup for 28, 32 and 34 mm valves.
