Reinstalling rear wheel (73' CB750)
« on: July 20, 2020, 10:43:18 AM »
I've searched a considerable amount for this information but I can't seem to find the correct procedure.  How the heck do you reinstall the rear tire??  I have the original pipes on and they are blocking access to install the axle when it is in line with all the holes.  Thoughts?
Do I have to remove the exhaust on one side?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove ends of swing arm, two bolts, wheel comes straight back.

I've got the wheel out, my question is how to get it back in and still slip the chain over the sprocket.  When I do this the chain is too tight when I pull back on the rim and it won't clear the swingarm to slide into the channels.

Slide the wheel into the channels and then put the chain on.

DO YOU HAVE the tin cover on outside of sprocket ?  Put the wheel under swingarm opening, get the chain onto the tin cover,  and start adding axle and spacers, then lift into swimgarm. Then sliding wheel all the way to front, chain should  go on sprocket.
That is for a riveted or one piece chain.
