81 CB650C How to position carb intake boots

I pulled off my carb manifold intake rubber boots and ordered a new set.
I though they were straight, so didn't notice how they were positioned, but the ones I ordered have a 2mm offset, (honda OEM  16211-460-770).
So should the carbs be installed 2mm raised or 2mm lower?

they will have a mark on them that will go to the top hopefully
