Throttle cable adjustment?
« on: August 10, 2020, 05:07:49 AM »
For 1973 Honda CB350F, is the push throttle cable adjustable? My bike was missing one when I bought it, so I bought a stock replacement (at least it looks like the stock one), installed it but seems like it's too long. It would need to be long to get it into the grooves in the throttle handle and arm at the carbs but then would need to be tightened somewhere to create the tension to hold it in place.

The nut at the end by the carb only holds it in the holder (just up from the carb) but does not tighten the cable. Is there a way to tighten the push throttle cable so it stays in place on the arm by the carbs?

The push and pull cables, when mounted, form a complete circle, so when the push cable seems too long, shorten the pull cable so the total length of the 2 cables is correct.

That worked and makes a lot of sense. Thanks!
