...something I noticed while out riding yesterday...I fear simon is on to something, only not just numbers of deaths...I fear the reaction to covid19 has severely damaged the social structure of our society.  So many people either afraid or angry.  I am reluctant to visit new places, wary of strangers.  I am unmarried and my family is few.  I spend so much time by myself now, I am forgetting how to meet new people.  Many others must be having similar feelings.  To me, this is worst part.
If it works good, it looks good...

here in the uk the infection rate is on the increase again and certain areas have been put back into quarantine , last week there were a further 76 deaths attributed to covid 19  . the definition  of a covid death is someone that dies within 30 days of a positive test . 76 deaths is sad and i would not want to be amongst them but the normal death rate in the uk is around 10,000 a week so the covid deaths make up 0.76% of deaths .no one is the least concerned about the other 99.24 % . on top of this normal medical care has been put on hold . cancer patients amongst others are unable to get the proper treatment due to covid and in 12 to 18 months we are predicting a large spike in deaths . covid did and will continue to kill but it has been mostly the old and infirm who have perished  . when we look back on this in ten years i hope we dont find that our hysterical reaction to covid actually killed more than the virus

The problem with comparing Covid to normal death rates is that normal death rates are pretty constant over time, and Covid death rates are dynamic and constantly increasing. The UK is at 42K deaths from Covid and that's not a small number. I think in ten years it's more likely that people will ask why so many people didn't take it more seriously, and how they allowed it to kill so many people (approching a million deaths worldwide) when preventing that much death wouldn't have caused much of a personal sacrifice.

** I should add: there were groups of people who opposed wearing masks and other precautions during the 1918 flu epidemic. 100 years later, they're not viewed as heroes who stood up for freedom from tyranny. They're viewed as oddballs and not too bright.

Be sure to throw a little blame China's way while your at the blame game for unleashing this whole pandemic onto the world. I think some interesting facts about that will come to light someday as to their intentions and yes my tinfoil hat fits perfect.

For those that didn't actually take time to see the video in its entirety..please do. I think all of us would then like to see what your impressions may be after that..okay?

Best wishes to all of you..

As hard as I tried I couldn’t get through 30 minutes with “Lying Ted”.  You know his father was involved with the Kennedy Assassination.....according to one very reliable source.

Well, if you you know where the nickname came from (who also referred to Cruz as the biggest liar in the Senate) then you know where the Kennedy accusation came from.  So knowing what a credible source of information that is why would you believe anything Ted has to say?

This thread has run its course and is turning into more of a political debate, which is against forum rules.
