Phil,  I just got home and didn't realize that it was on. I have seen it several times and it is a great movie, in my opinion too. 8) ;)

Gerhed -- great movie.  I missed today's run; mebbe they'll run it again tonight.  The Seabees have an honorable tradition that few know about -- John Wayne just scratches the surface.  Their heroism in building and maintaining the airstrip at Guadalcanal was crucial to the US win against far superior numbers.  At various times, all parts of the base came under direct fire, yet the Seabees didn't stop work on the airstrip, which was constantly bombed and strafed.  One needs to imagine what it would be like to work in the flatest and most exposed place within the perimeter.
