Fuel Tap
« on: April 30, 2021, 02:01:38 am »
Hi all another part question, here is a picture of my fuel tap what I have removed while the tank gets a new coat of paint, my question is, is this the correct tap because looking at an exploded view on the parts list it only shows a tap with 1 pipe which goes into the tank, and my fuel tap has 2, each with it's own filter. Every fuel tap I have looked at has only 1 feed in the tank, I just need to know if this is another part what has been taken off another bike to fit. No pic it keeps ending up more than 5mb and won't send.

The petcock has 1 outlet that goes in the tank and 1 that goes to the carbs

Mine has 2 what go in the tank and 1 that goes to the carbs, so I have to assume it is not the correct fuel tap that is fitted.

Yes it does work, but before you say why bother then. Does anyone else have a CB400f with this tap fitted, if I needed a part for it what bike is it off, I'd like the bike standard for the purists and that's another reason why I had the bike repainted in Antares Red and not any red, the fuel tap is not fitted yet, I'm giving the lacquer plenty of time to harden.

I've just managed to work out how to trim the photo down to less that 4mb so here's a pic of the fuel tap.

After looking closely at the exploded view of the tank picture, it looks to be the correct tap but mine has an extra line?????????????
