I've finally got it home!
« on: November 07, 2020, 05:59:07 pm »
My CB750A has finally landed at my place.
It's been a long and at times frustrating journey but I suppose this is really only the beginning.
Now I have the bike, I can only say it's far and away better than I was expecting as far as condition goes.
I thank Nic AKA Tews19 for going to so much trouble and effort looking after the US side of things.
Without his help tracking down and buying the bike it would not have been possible.

The older I get the faster I was.

Great news Brian, a new journey.

Your right Brian, it is a new journey for me. I've never attempted a project as such, not motorcycle related anyway.
I've come to realise that although my interests haven't changed and my passion for motorcycles  is as strong as ever, the tempo of my life has. After the accident in 2011 and slipping over the sixty mark last year I just need to attack my motorcycling from a different perspective. ;)

Has it really been that long? :o Time seems to accelerate as I get older. I been calling my almost 93 year old mom every week on Sunday for decades, and lately it seems the weeks are getting shorter and shorter for both of us. ;D

So now that you have been for a ride Brian I'm expecting to hear that you're going to turn it into a fire breathing trike(?) with one of your sidecar engines.  :)

No "fire breathing trike" Brian but I will be bolting a chair (sidecar) to it.
No more elbows out paint scrapping, just an old bloke and his labrador out for a ride. ;)

Excellent.  8) I realize that's an old photo:do you still have a seat like that for the dog to ride on your bike ?

No I don't. I thought of building another to take a friend's dog for a ride......
