I couldn't find a spot to post a review or anything on the Scrambler Cycle website, so I just wanted to make sure people know what they're getting if they at least check these forums.

Bike is a 1978 CB750K8.

Castings are nice, but not perfect -- very minor details like the 'i' in 'Hi" being lower case on the originals are missed, and the model info (where you see "HM" under the signal switch in the third picture) in the casting is partly missing (probably due to using a longer screw in the front than original). Pulling through the bars on a K8 is difficult, and requires disassembling the white block connector, but it's doable.

Here's the biggest tip though: If you have the original switches (I only replaced mine because the headlight switch burned up), rebuild the turn signal switches with the original copper contacts and actuator mechanism. It swaps right on, and fixes the slop that causes the running light to turn off before the flasher comes on, and sometimes sticks that way until you wiggle the switch.

The screws inside aren't machine threaded, but just self-tapping type like you find in plastic -- they ARE metal, but I suspect the casting is chinesium, so probably soft enough for these screws. Not a huge problem, just something to note.

Castings are pretty much perfect. I wish either the left side was available with the "run wiring outside the bars" option, or the right side available without the notch to run the wiring outside the bars, just so that they could match -- it's fine to just run them inside the bars anyway, just that there's a little hole there behind the mirror/brake perch when you do.

In short: For the price, makes a big difference! Looks sharp as heck compared to the old faded units! If yours aren't faded like mine, all the internals can swap over, and be rebuilt beefier if you like too (though we should all do the headlight switch-saving relay mod anyway).
