CB350F/4 coils
« on: December 29, 2020, 06:44:36 AM »
Hi all just been checking my ignition coils on my CB350/4. Both coils are original and working but I was having a bit of starting issues and have been running through the various components to check them out.
Does anyone have the Honda listed resistance numbers for the primary and secondary coils windings.

I have the following actual readings
1&4 primary 4 ohms secondary 13.8k ohms
2&3 primary 4 ohms secondary 13.8k ohms

Plug caps run from 4.5 to 5 k ohms

Primary: 420 wdg. and secundary 13.000 wdg.
Check plugs and replace when in doubt What plug do you run?
Check connection HT wires <-> plugcaps
Check there is no arcing between HT wires and/or plugcaps and head.
Check there is no arcing at the breakerpoints. A little sparking is normal however.
