Hello from the Isle of Man
« on: January 24, 2021, 08:49:19 AM »
Hi, I have a  nice collection of classic bikes but I am currently restoring a 1972 CB750K2  so will probably need some advice along the way. I live on the Isle of Man the road racing capital of the world but unfortunately due to covid it is cancelled this year. The rebuild is going fairly well so far and I am on the electrics at the present time but no doubt something will catch me out. The bike was imported from the USA and I bought it about 12 months ago.

Howdy!

Just last week met a fellow who traced part of his family history back to the Isle.

Good luck with your bike!

Last question first, there is no problem getting packages over here as I am getting them daily. I also met up with a guy from Connecticut who has become a very good friend who was doing a tour on a bike and he had roots with the town of Onchan he was on the Island for a few days and we toured round with him he absolutely loved it, he drove a ridiculous amount of miles to the top of New York to pick up a Suzuki GT750 for me and sent it over an amazing guy.

Indeed!  Welcome.  Totally not against making friends with folks with classic bike collections on the Isle of Man!

Welcome from Texas.  Love watching racing on the Isle!

You should start a thread in "Project Shop" with your rebuild.

Hopefully once you get settled in here you can post some pictures of your collection. I collect quite a few CB750's but also have a few Water Buffalo's also along with some other Suzuki stuff. There is also an E-bay seller I know who is very friendly who usually has a ton of GT750 parts. Welcome aboard !   Eric
